| 98.5-02 1st Gen 24valve VP44 pump | The VP44 Injection pump has been plagued with problems, most failures are caused by lift pump failure resulting in IP damage. We advise that if you wish to convert this engine you use a very high quality pump for the VO and install a fuel pressure alarm which alerts the driver if IP inlet pressure drops below 5 psi.
