Be careful with unrestrained spare tires in the back of a wagon. It can become a projectile in a crash (15 kg = 375 kg at 50 kmh or 33 lb = 875 lb at 30 mph). I saw a bowling ball go THROUGH the seats of a car that was crashed into a barrier on Mythbusters last night.
I doubt that the plastic clip holding the back seat of my Jetta wagon would hold a 825 lb force during a 30 mph crash!
I will be leaving the spare at home since my WVO tank is in the spare compartment and use AAA.
