Hello,
I am considering doing a 300D and wanted to get some input from folks who are collecting WVO in Seattle. My main question right now is that with the surge in popularity of WVO and bio-D, there will soon be too much competition for WVO. I have heard tales of cities where restaurants no longer have to pay renderers to collect their oil, and in fact are getting paid for the WVO by Bio-D manufacturers, coops etc.
So, what is the current and near-term outlook for those of us in Seattle wishing to jump on the FREE WVO bandwagon?
I am a tinkerer and a DIY guy, and the collecting and filtering of Free oil is a big part of the appeal of running a WVO sytem to me. It's just plain cool too, you know petro-independence, working toward a sustainable futre and all that, But honestly, for me,if I had to pay even a dollar a gallon, some of the appeal goes away. So, if you have your finger on the pulse of the local scene, what is the WVO situation in town today, and next year?
thanks for the advice
