Over the past few weeks, I've spilled a bit of VO in the bed of my truck while filling my VO tank. I didn't have anything handy to wipe it up at the time, and now it's turned into a sort of "veggie tar". Any products that will clean this up without removing the paint from my truck?

Castrol "super clean" comes in a purple spray bottle or 5 gal pails, best stuff I have found!

The Castrol Super Clean should do a good job. If I remember correctly, it has a lot of caustic (sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide) which will react with the oils in the veggie. But, I'd be a bit careful on paint. As they say... test in an inconspicuous area.
Free safety tip: caustic cleaners have a high pH... such as this Castrol product, heavy duty degreasers, oven cleaner, etc. If you get some on you and it is burning, rinse the bulk off with water. Then rinse with vinegar. In a pinch, Coke or orange juice would work... anything that is slightly acidic. If a cleaner leaves your hands really slimy and doesn't seem like it will ever rinse off... there is most likely some caustic present.

I have had pretty good luck with Simple Green as long as the oil is not built up too deep. I too had a lot spilled in the back of my truck and had to use the purple stuff. Now I try to clean up soon and use Simple Green. Good Luck ... Ken
