Avatars are still available at www.frybrid.com/avatar.htm (http://www.frybrid.com/avatar.htm) or you can upload any 80x80 19.5kb image.

How are you supposed to add them. I tried the edit avatar link and I could not figure it out. Computers aren't my thing, although you wouldn't think so; since converting my vehicle I have spent more time on the computer than I ever had in my life.

Choose any image on the web you want as long as it is 80x80 and no larger than 19.5kb. Right click it and select "save image as", save it to your desktop, then upload it through the "User CP" panel on the forum.
OR
Right click the selected image and select "properties" then highlight the address "http://www.frybrid.com/avatar/AVmercedes.jpg" then paste it inot the "avatar URL" area of the user CP.

If others see the same screen as I do, we can't un-select the "do not use avatar" choice; profile pic has url choice but not avatar profile. Thanks

This is just a test of my avatar. I went to Edit profile picture, did a BROWSE, and browsed to the location on my drive where the picture was stored, double-clicked on it, and it appeared to save to Frybrid.

I uploaded the Avatar since it shows up in my profile picture, but does not show when posting. When I go to the edit avatar link, I cannot uncheck the "Do not use avatar" button.

Can't make this 'thing' work.
I did manage to place an avatar in the 'body' of a post.
Patience, they'll patch this thing up!

See, it works HERE.
Chris which directory did you place these images in?
I used '/images/' instead of '/avatars/' and it uploaded above, see below:

I think I sorted it out. I had only linked to a position on a web page (copied the properties url and pasted) but I believe it is now set to allow custom uploads.
Sorry folks but forum management is new to me and this forum package is supposed to be the best one available...it takes some getting used to as it has about 200 different control panels.

Ok it seems to be working on my "test guy" although again I used the image url as I am not at home this weekend and am accessing froma laptop in the field. Let me know if it is working and if not I will get it sorted monday.

I think it's working now Chris. When I go to "edit avitar" I get more options than last attempt. Previously, I could not uncheck the "do not use avitar" radio button. For some reason, now it shows a "browse" button. Curiously, after selecting the image, it said "upload failed" yet after refreshing, it is in place. Thanks & see you tomorrow.
