In response to the original thread:
"Grease Car or Frybrid?"
From an industry perspective, the answer is simple. No question about it Frybrid hands down. Higher quality, more durable components, faster switch over times, etc, etc. Grease Car may have been the first on the scene, but they've also been the slowest to keep up with the learning curve.
I personally think that a Frybrid system coupled with a Neoteric Vegtherm heater immediately before the IP would be the most advanced, safest, and well thought out system on the planet. To up the ante a notch more, a 12v heater band on the fuel filter would make this system arctic proof.
Everything else is fluff and of little to no consequence (who cares what the temperature is at the tank, 8-12' away from where it really matters? As long as the SVO there is liquid, that's all that matters). If you like fluff, safe yourself some ching and eat fluffer-nutter sandwiches on wonder bread for lunch. After a year of careful frugality you will certainly be able to spring for the better of the two kits, and maybe even a couple of visits to the dentist if you didn't stray from the fluff too much.
