I am trying to come up with a way to put my Alaska burner in a housing or box to burn in my fireplace. At present I am using it in an open fireplace and loosing most of the heat up the chimney. I start it with a cup of kero and then drip feed waste vegi oil. Any suggestions or comments welcome.

What is an Alaska Burner?
I found this on-line book on wood stove making, interesting http://www.autonopedia.org.uk/approp...ves_Part2.html

I do not know how to post pictures yet, but the alaska oil burner is a military oil burner that is used in tents. I found mine on e-bay listed under military burners. I read about them on Biodiesel and SVO forums. They have pictures. I have plenty of WVO that I blend for a Diesel Mercedes. That is how I found this Forum. I live in South Carolina and have not found many Blenders in this area. Jack
