Default Listeroid WVO Generator

I am almost finished converting a 12/2 Listeroid engine to power a 8KW ST generator on WVO. I have successfully test run it several times, and powered a huge 220V air conditioner as a test load. I would certainly be done with this projct by now but stopped abruptly last month to fly my whole family out to Seattle to have Mr. Goodwin convert an RV to WVO and then drive back east.

I would be glad to post Listeroid pics and info about what works and what does not work! The plan is to have it heat the house this winter with both electrical and waste heat directly from the engine. I love this 650 RPM, constant duty motor! It has got some serios character!

Default Listeroid and Generator Photos

Any info/photos you could share would be very helpful. We are planning to move from FL to KY during this year. I want to have a listeroid/generator in KY. I probably won't go "off-grid", but just want to suppliment/reduce my power useage.

Thanks,
Professor

Steve,

I'd sure like to hear how the coach turned out. I met you at Frybrid. Good luck to you.

Default SVO generator

I have actually considered one of the cheaper versions but have not done it yet. I understand that if you get one that is not rebuilt it is best to pick it out in person.

Default Listeroid Genset on the backburner

Hi All,

I was hoping that I would have my gen set all done months ago, but as you may know, I am still in my Frybrid RV, out west. I have not been able to touch my dear Listeroid since July, when I was last in Rhode Island. I am hoping that if I indeed ever make it back home, that I will be able to finish the Listeroid in time to use it this winter.

This may be a difficult task, as I will probably want to convert the 12.5Kwatt generator on this RV to veggie first. I got all the important parts from Chris before I left Seattle, and have the control panel complete. I hate having unfinished projects hanging around.

Although this RV is a 12.5KW, it is not 1500 lbs of slow speed, constant duty iron like the 8KW Listeroid.

Looks like I have some work cut out for me if I ever make it home!

Once I have something to show, I will post pictures and comments if you are interested!

Don't feel bad... I got my listeroid in July and it's still sitting on it's dolly... I'm just trying to get my lawn replanted now before it freezes over!
