Shipping outside the continental USA must be arranged prior to ordering. All kits are made to order, email or call, we will discuss what you need and work out the details. COMPLETENESS OF KIT: A Frybrid kit may not include all necessary mounting brackets for your particular vehicle. The installer may need to fabricate brackets to mount pumps, heat exchangers, filters or other components. Valves and hose connections can typically be mounted with simple bolts and washers. Our systems now utilize an inductive fuel level sender with no moving parts and a low fuel alarm which can be wired to automatically purge the system on low fuel. |
Additional valves Many of our systems offer an additional valve option, by chosing this option you will recieve an additional valve allowing you to plumb the fuel system as a "Frybrid Controlled Loop" system. Most diesel systems pump around 60 gallon an hour from the tank, through the filter and injection system and back to the tank, they do this becasue the fuel system components are lubricated with the fuel and diesel is a very poor lubricant. This is not required or desirable when running on VO which is a very good lubricant and we have taken great pains to insure that the fuel is heated properly. The Frybrid Controlled Loop system recirculated the VO in the IP and heat exchanger and only draws from the tank enough fuel to replace the fuel consumed, your fuel is hotter and your filter is only filtering the fuel you are using rather than 60 gallons every hour, thereby increasing fuel filter life by as much as 60 times! |
Note on pricing People ask me why our systems are more expensive than others on the market. The answers is because our systems are better designed, engineered and built. Here is an example of our system vs a competitors system: VW Golf
You get PEX lines, no return line for quick purge, copper in the tank, coolant fittings in the tank, tank hatch sealed with RTV and sheet metal screws, arm type sender, copper wrapped filter.
You get aluminum lines feed and return, large FPHE, no copper in the tank, in-tank unit with resovoir and heat shield, No coolatn fittings in the tank, sealed tank, inductive sender with low fuel trigger, filter with an integral FPHE. $140 difference.... A single towing bill is more than $140, an injection pump is $2000. |

The 3-valve mounting plate was designed specifically for the 1994-98 Dodge/Cummins trucks, it places all three valves on a plate which attaches to the valve cover and replaces all the hose fittings with JIC fittings allowing connections to be taken apart and put back together as often as you like with leak proof fittings rather than hose clamps. If you have a 94-98 with a standard 2 valve system, this is the upgrade you need. If you are ordering a new system for a 94-98 you may select this option in the drop down menu when selecting the kit.

The Ford IDI fuel system uses a diaphragm fuel pump, it is mounted to the engine block low on the passenger side front of the block and driven by a rod off the crankshaft. If the diaphragm fails it allows the vehicles fuel tank to drain into the crankcase filling it with diesel and overflowing the oil. Many people have used these pumps with no issues for VO, others have elected to purchase an electric fuel pump to replace it. If you chose to replace the diaphragm pump you have two options; you can remove the pump and drive rod then cover the hole in the block with a cover plate - these are available at any NAPA store, just ask for a fuel block off plate for a Chevy 350, it fits and they will have it. The other option is to connect the supply and feed lines of the pump with a section of fuel line and fill the pump with motor oil, this way the pump will be circulating the oil providing lubrication so the pump does not seize. Personally we have most often simply replaced the pump with a 8-12psi electric pump as electric pumps can be run without cranking the motor and this makes purging air from the system after a filter change much simpler. These pumps are available lower on this page. |

Duramax It is possible to convert the Duramax engines and several of our customers have done so with our kits, we however do not sell a system specifically for the Duramax. We made this decision based on the fact that the Durmax engines have been plagued with injector issues to the point where Chevrolet was forced to extend the warranty on the injectors to 200K and we did not want Frybrid systems being blamed for injector problems inherent in the design of the injector itself. That said the engine can be converted using the 6.5TD kit and an additional valve and we do not know of a single issue with any of the Duramax’s converted with our systems.
